Santi Martino and Costanzo Collegiate Church
It is the largest church in Torrita. It was built in 1631, when the title of the parish church of San Costanzo was transferred to it; it became a collegiate church in 1648 and was enlarged in 1789.
The load-bearing structure can be identified by the exposed bricks, while the façade and side walls are covered in plaster; the roof is gabled. On the right side rises the brick bell tower. The interior has a single nave ending in a semicircular apse, which is equal in width to the width of the nave.
On the side walls are pilasters of composite order; the intercolumns are occupied by the minor altars, except for the penultimate one towards the apse, where the two side portals open. A beautiful wooden walnut choir is arranged in a semicircle behind the high altar, made in 1740. The minor altars, located along the side walls, are painted grey.
A 16th-century polychrome terracotta depicting St. Caterina of Siena attributed to Lorenzo di Mariano, known as Il Marrina, is kept there. A canvas, with a wooden frame decorated in relief depicting St. Costanzo, by Francesco Tiezzi, is located to the right of the high altar, near the baptismal font. The 19th-century organ is the work of the Agati brothers from Pistoia.
