Ceramiche San Rocco born from Vincenzo Goracci, a historic artisan from Torrita, who moved for a period of his life to Liguria where he worked in a ceramic factory. There the young Torritese (Torrita’s citizen) studied and learned the lathe technique, also thanks to Eliseo Salino who is a well-known Italian sculptor and ceramist. In 1959 he decided to open his own studio in Rapallo, right in front of the Church of San Rocco: this is the reason the company has this name. Here Vincenzo introduced, for the first time in Italy, the relief decoration technique or rather the "cuerda seca" technique, an innovation that has now been learned by several artisans, but which originates from the study of our company.
He then decided to return to Tuscany, back to his Torrita di Siena, and opened Ceramiche San Rocco here.
Today the company carries on the tradition of manipulating the land first with Luciana, Vincenzo's wife, and currently with the second son Marcello, constantly looking for the connection between tradition and contemporaneity, quality and contemporary design.
Experience, attention to the clients’ taste, participation in exhibitions and fairs all over the world make Ceramiche San Rocco a sublime reality for all design and craftsmanship’s lovers in Torrita di Siena.
The laboratory can be visited by appointment and on site it is possible to buy the ceramic pieces displayed in a sensational showroom where industrial design blends perfectly with the classic, but eternal, art of ceramics.
